Think, Play, Act for Climate Change

Under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Buldu, a faculty member in our department, the project titled “Think, Play, Act for Climate Change,” which was awarded funding by TÜBİTAK 4004 Nature Education and Science Schools, was carried out between September 1–5 with the participation of 25 preschool teachers. During the 5-day project process, the participating teachers received both theoretical and practical knowledge on climate change through educational sessions and creative drama workshops conducted by 8 different trainers and 2 field experts. The participants experienced climate change from pedagogical perspectives and had the opportunity to receive training on various topics ranging from the impacts of climate change to collaboration with families. Each day, aligned with the institutional part of the program, the teachers took part in creative drama sessions where they explored their learning through experiential activities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our trainers and esteemed teachers who contributed to our project. Together, we continue to think, play, and act for a more sustainable future.
